How Do I Join?
Visit
The first step is to visit our club and see if you like it! Check the calendar on our home page for information about upcoming meetings. Make sure you visit a few clubs, as the one you “click” with may not be the closest to you. It is 100% free to attend as a guest. However, only club members are allowed to take on speaking roles.
Sign Up
If you like what you see and want to get involved, simply speak to one of the Club Committee Members. They will be able to provide you with a membership form and payment information. Once payment has been received, we will register you with Toastmasters International.
Speak!
Once you have given us your membership application and paid the fees, you will be formally voted in at the next club meeting and assigned two mentors to help you get started. You will also be given access to the Pathways Learning Website, where you can access speech projects and learn techniques. The first speech project is always the “Ice Breaker” which is just a 4 – 6 minute introduction of yourself to the club.
Joining Toastmasters is easy. It’s leaving that’s the difficult part. Just ask Ted, who’s been a member of Three Kings Toastmasters since it was founded over 30 years ago! Or Steve, Phil and Kevin, who’ve racked up over 50 years between them! Secretly we think they’ve just forgotten how to exit the building…
